Nitta Haas Incorporated, a joint venture of Dow and the Nitta Corporation, was recently recognized with a Supplier of the Year Award from Siltronic AG, one of the world’s leading manufacturers of silicon wafers. Nitta Haas and Siltronic have a relationship that spans more than 20 years, and on October 10, 2017, Siltronic presented business leaders with the distinguished honor of “Exceptional Long Term Global Partner.”

“Over the past two decades, we’ve supported many of Siltronic’s technology needs, and we are honored to receive this distinction, recognizing our value as a partner in their business growth,” said Mitsutaka Chiba, president & chief executive officer, Nitta Haas Incorporated. “Our consistency and reliable supply are equally critical to this successful long-term collaboration, and I’d like to congratulate the Nitta Haas and Dow team for their valued service and support.”

Nitta Haas serves the semiconductor market with pads and slurries for a variety of polishing applications, working closely with Dow’s Chemical Mechanical Planarization (CMP) Technologies business. Nitta Haas’ Silicon, Disk and Optics (SDO) business has an expertise in polishing sensitive surfaces including silicon, glass and compound wafers.

Nitta Haas was also recognized by Siltronic in 2010 with the “Excellent Product Development in Polishing Pad Technology” supplier award.
